Day 17
Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, ‘My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.’”—Matthew 26:39 (NIV)
Even when we know God's direction, the task can feel daunting. Forgiving, loving difficult people, or surrendering control are challenges we face. Jesus' prayer in Gethsemane, “Not as I will, but as you will,” reflects His deep relationship with the Father. He often sought solitude for strength and guidance. If even Jesus needed this, how much more do we?
