Day 20
“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.” 1 Peter 2:9-10 KJV
This passage reveals two truths. First, we are chosen by God to be part of His family, transitioning from a life of sin to one with purpose and value given by the creator of the universe. Secondly, we have a mission of eternal significance. As God's special possession, we are called to "declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light" (v.9b). Our purpose is to reflect God's goodness and share what He has done for us: healing, saving, restoring, and delivering. We have received His mercy to demonstrate God's goodness to others. Your life matters, and your prayers are making a difference!
